What this tool does
PDF Compressor reduces the file size of PDF documents for online uploads. It is especially helpful for scanned certificates, application documents, and forms with image-heavy pages.
Compression modes explained
Light keeps more visual quality, Balanced is a practical default, and Maximum tries harder to reduce file size when a portal has a strict limit.
When to use light, balanced, or maximum
- Light: Use when the PDF is only slightly above the limit.
- Balanced: Use for most scanned documents and application uploads.
- Maximum: Use when the portal has a strict size such as under 1MB.
Privacy note
The tool first attempts browser-side compression. If server-side processing is needed, the file is temporarily processed for the request and deleted immediately.
